Timothy White

Timothy White is among the most accomplished portrait photographers of his generation. Trained at the Rhode Island School of Design and brought to prominence through Rolling Stone, White has spent more than four decades photographing the defining figures of film, music, fashion, and popular culture.

His portraits are built around a rare kind of access: the ability to see the private person inside the public image. This collection gathers a selection of that work, with subjects including Angelina Jolie, Whoopi Goldberg, Liza Minnelli, and Dustin Hoffman, in photographs that read as character studies as much as celebrity sittings.

White has been recognized with the Lucie Award for International Photographer of the Year, named among American Photo Magazine's most important people in photography, and published in monographs including Timothy White: Portraits. Each work in this collection is an archival pigment print on Canson Platine Fibre Rag, hand-signed by Timothy White and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
