Rights of Purchase & Image Use
When purchasing from FinePhoto.Art, collectors acquire ownership of the physical artwork only. Ownership of a photographic print does not convey, transfer, or imply ownership of copyright, licensing rights, publication rights, or reproduction rights in the underlying image.
Physical Print Ownership
A collector who purchases an artwork from FinePhoto.Art owns that specific physical print. The collector may privately display, insure, frame, store, lend, gift, or resell that physical print, subject to applicable law and to any specific terms that accompany the work.
FinePhoto.Art does not sell copyright unless a written agreement expressly states otherwise. No copyright transfer should be inferred from the sale of a print, certificate, invoice, product page, or provenance record.
Copyright and Reproduction Rights
Copyright and intellectual property rights remain with the applicable rights holders. Purchasers may not copy, scan, reproduce, publish, license, merchandise, distribute, mint, or commercially exploit any artwork image without written permission from the applicable rights holder.
Purchasing a print does not grant the right to make posters, digital files, NFTs, advertising materials, books, apparel, social media campaigns, commercial displays, or any other reproduction of the image.
Website Images, Text, and Design
No text, design element, product description, layout, photograph of documentation, or other material from this website may be copied, reproduced, scraped, published, transmitted, sold, or used commercially without prior written permission from FinePhoto.Art or the applicable rights holder.
Images shown on FinePhoto.Art are provided for cataloging, collector reference, educational context, and presentation of the physical artworks offered for sale. They are not provided as downloadable or reusable image assets. Reproduction or reuse of artwork images requires permission from the applicable rights holder.
Private Display and Resale
Private display of a purchased print within a home, office, personal collection, gallery environment, or resale setting is part of ordinary physical ownership. Resale of the specific physical print should preserve the accompanying documentation, certificate, invoice, edition information, and provenance materials wherever possible.
Collectors reselling a work should not separate the artwork from its authentication materials. Preserving the documentation protects the future collector and maintains the integrity of the work's provenance.
Educational and Archival Context
FinePhoto.Art presents historical and biographical information to help collectors understand the artworks, artists, subjects, collections, and photographic contexts represented on the site. This material is provided for education, documentation, and collector reference.
Historical commentary, artist names, subject names, publication references, collection references, and archive references are used to identify and contextualize the works. They are not intended to assert ownership of any third-party trademark, copyright, name, likeness, or intellectual property right.
Respect for Rights Holders
FinePhoto.Art respects the rights of photographers, artists, estates, publishers, archives, licensors, and other rights holders. Any party with a good-faith rights concern may contact the gallery with the relevant work title, URL, rights basis, and supporting documentation.
Nothing on this page limits any written agreement, certificate, provenance document, invoice term, or applicable law that may govern a specific artwork.
