The premise is stark: a woman inspects an artificial leg. Newton lets the object carry the charge, placing the body, the prosthetic, and the act of looking inside the same cool frame. The result is not sentimental, and not simply provocative. It is clinical, theatrical, and strange in the precise way Newton often made ordinary objects feel charged.
