Willi (Fashion Mansfield)

Made in London in 1967 for British Vogue, Willi (Fashion Mansfield) belongs to Newton's early fashion vocabulary, where style is treated as attitude before it becomes garment.

The source is lean, but the period is clear: late-1960s London, fashion editorial, Newton moving through the charged world of magazines, bodies, and constructed persona. The image sits at the threshold of the harder, more cinematic language he would later make unmistakably his.

The young Newton in London, before the menace entered the frame.
