Unframed works typically ship within 1–2 business days in archival-safe packaging. Framed works are hand-assembled to order and require up to two weeks before dispatch. Tracking is provided once the order has been released for shipment.
Returns and cancellations are accepted within 24 hours of purchase. If your work arrives damaged, contact us and we will repair, replace where possible, or resolve the issue at no cost.
Babes of Baywatch
An unpublished image from June 1998, Babes of Baywatch was photographed on location in Jamaica by Arny Freytag, one of Playboy's defining glamour photographers. Its subject is Traci Bingham, known worldwide as lifeguard Jordan Tate on Baywatch, one of the most-watched television shows in the world.
The shoot was planned as an exclusive, but after Bingham's role on the show ended shortly before publication, Playboy never ran the full set. Only a single photograph from the shoot appeared. Years later, Freytag returned to the same weathered Jamaican wall to recreate the image with another model and found it had been painted over. The place no longer exists as it does here.
Freytag remembered the lost shoot plainly:
It was just a shame, it broke my heart. It was a beautiful shooting.
In Babes of Baywatch, Bingham stands facing a sun-bleached painted wall, hand-lettered Jamaican bar signage and faded murals behind her, arms raised against the surface and seen from behind in gold lamé and white lace-up platform heels. The light is warm and the setting is real, a found place rather than a built set, which is exactly what makes it impossible to repeat.
Photographed by Freytag, modeled by Bingham, and preserved within the Playboy Legacy Collection, the work is part of the forty-eight-print archival edition released for Playboy's 50th anniversary.
Collection Note
The Playboy Legacy Collection was released in 2007 for the magazine's 50th anniversary as a forty-eight-print archival edition curated under the direction of Hugh Hefner. Each print is embossed with the archive seal bearing the Playboy Bunny mark and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
