Dressed to the 9 & 3/4, Part I

Dressed to the 9 & 3/4 is a two-part series, and Part I is the opening frame: Coco Nady on her back across an unmade white bed, one leg raised straight toward the ceiling, the other folded against it, her face turned away.

Aleksandr Kosmos plays the title two ways. She is dressed to the nines in the barest sense, in white over-the-knee socks, a cropped knit sweater and very little else, and the paperback lying at the edge of the bed supplies the other three quarters of the title. Behind the glass, a freestanding tub and a round wicker daybed set the scene in a quiet, glass-walled room.

Innocence and provocation, dressed in the same white.

Sheets, socks, and sweater are all white, and Kosmos lets the whites carry the picture. The raised leg draws a clean vertical through the middle of the frame, while the dark glass behind it holds the bath, the daybed, and the low light of the room.

Collection Note

An open-edition print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Bright White 310gsm, signed by Coco Nady and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
